This time it isn’t the bronze or sliver, its the gold! Yes! We are once again victorious in the track and filed! Barbados now has its first World Championships Medal.

Ryan Brathwaite, 21 years of age brought joy to us here with his performance, out there on the track yesterday in the 100-metre hurdles at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany.

@ first he knocked the 1st hurdle down, but ran clean throughout the rest of the race, winning in 13.14 seconds – which is now our new national record. Woot! Congratulations to him.
